«Lou Floc de Nouste», «the bouquet of flowers of our home», literally translated, was therefore christened Floc de Gascogne in 1976, when it was first put on the market.
In 1990, Flocs de Gascogne obtained the status of Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC) certifying that Flocs de Gascogne come from a well-defined production area and that their production meets the strict specification criteria. Complying with European regulations, since 2009, it now benefits from the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO).
